Does exactly what it claims to do!!!

This is a great app works very well, Im just not sure how to reset the lap counter, I did several lapping sessions and it calculates my 10 laps as one big lap, and all the laps overlap each other on the map...

Fantastic tool for the price. Iam now using it with an xgps150 unit for increased accuracy, but the iphone has decent accuracy for lap time for the average joe. Iam using it on a motorcycle with a gopro too. Only downer is the accelerometer is not working on "tilting" vehicles.

Awesome app, great for driver events documentation and data acquisition. This will help you improve your skills on the track.

Says starting but not starts very annoying...

Excellent app to record track day runs and autocross. Autocross / segment easier to use than Harrys Lap Timer. Like the ability to see video overlay without lengthy render processing. Recommend purchasing.

It took me a while to get the video working but now that I have it is wonderful to review. However I cannot work how to get it to my iPad or desktop so my old eyes can view the circuit info better. Some more instructional info would help so that if you need to you can delete the video but not the track detail for speeds etc. this would save space on the phone especially when The camera has sadly taken pictures of the sky for 15 mins! I like the compare feature as we have two drivers in the house and we like to compare results.

I used the free app at first along with the free Harrys Lap timer...but Harrys didnt have the video option, and this free version was very inaccurate, as it would not reset the lap time when I would cross the start/finish on my track...(which would be AMP and Road Atlanta for the most part)...so I decided to upgrade to the paid version, thinking it would probably not have those problems. Well I was wrong, the paid version did not work any better on any of my tracks. For the most part the lap timer would run during my entire time on track as one lap, some other times it would time 2-3 laps as one, and then on other occasions it had a random start/finish point that I did not set. It has the potential to be a good app, but I will stick with Harrys Lap timer until these errors have worked out.

When I drag race it doesnt display the correct gear, the rpms and speed stutter quite a bit so unsure how accurate it really is, connected to my wifi obd-2 Carly flawlessly though so gear, speed, and rpms shoulda been more accurate..

Yeah gps tracks are a little off here and there but for timing and the info you get, WOW!!! Wish I knew about this sooner. Oh yeah my local track was already built in to!

NEEDS Portrait Video Recording! Some of us have mounts that are best suited in portrait mode, like the ProClip ones. Apart from this, I love the app, and upgraded to the Pro version. Fix the above and my rating goes up!

This app is awesome, but it needs to record video in the portrait mode!!! It shows preview video in portrait mode, but only records, records upside down in portrait mode. Looks like a bug to me. My ProClipUSA mount holds my iPhone primarily in this portrait orientation because it is not tall enough to be in landscape & see well above the dash, so I need portrait video recording! My Dad and I made awesome recordings at Road America with this app in an ’01 Camaro SS and ’11 CTS-V. There needs to be an Apple TV companion app to show live video & track cars, similar to the Race Monitor iOS app!! Think about how awesome this would be, your family/friends could watch you from home! To really unlock the full potential of this app, you want to buy either OBDLink MX WiFi or PLX Kiwi 2 WiFi or Kiwi 3 — then you can get additional data overlay, and the PLX unit will also let you add additional non-OBD sensors! Oh and add CarPlay support please!!! So many possibilities here to display on the 6th Gen Camaro dash screen, etc. How about bringing HP Tuners to iOS since HP Tuners bought RaceRender?! Why do I have to be forced to use Windoze?! Lots of potential with this app!

First use at the west track at the corvette museum Track it worked but I dont know how to use it yet make sure you have a good GPS signal for it to work

It is easy to use, its inexpensive and does all I want. It communicates with my Bad Elf GPS unit and my Go point OBDII unit to generate, along with the camera in my iPad, a movie integrating my path, omnidirectional acceleration (separate x-y if you prefer), rpm, speed, gear, with any one of a few basic layouts to choose. It also has nice diagnostic tools (e.g., lateral gs along the path) easy to use on the fly. On occasion I use separately the data and movie files in my desktop for analysis or to make a more custom movie with software like Race Render. Id give it 5 stars if not for the fact that it crashes at times, and it sometimes misses the start or end points of an autocross course.

The only downside to this app is, now I want to buy the OBD-2 & GPS external devices to make an already great app even better. Ive only ran test runs (and walks) around town, but look forward to using it for Auto cross this weekend. Its accurate enough that I will use it when I walk the course to get a map of the track layout. And I love that it has acceleration, speed, g-force, & comparison maps.
